The38th Expohogar, the International Gifts and Household Articles Exhibition , will be held from the 29th of June to the 2nd of July 2008 in halls 1 and 2 of the Gran Via Exhibition Centre. Hostelco, which will be held from 17 to 21 October 2008, is a must for all restaurant, hotel and community professionals. The exhibition will be held in Monjuïc. Hostelco 2008 has the aim of having higher participation and quality rates than in its previous edition in 2004. It will be a showcase for the latest machinery, equipment, products and services for the Restaurant, Hotel and Community sector. Liber Barcelona

Salonnautico

2007 was a record year for the Boat Show: 2,100 boats, 180,000 visitors, 686 exhibitors representing 41 countries, and 115,000 m2 of exhibition space. The Show occupied five halls at the Gran Via exhibition centre and two wharves in the Port Vell marina.The big novelty this year was the super-yacht section at the wharf in Barcelona.The Show featured an extensive programme of activities including the presentation of regattas, book launches, technical seminars, maritime workshops and learn-to-sail clinics. Barcelona was also the focus of the sailing world's attention as the starting point for the Barcelona World Race at the same time as the Boat Show.

Graphispag

Expectations were fulfilled. Graphispag 2007 was a resounding success. GlobalGeo

High-resolution aerial images taken by satellite, formation of high-precision three-dimensional images, the latest versions of measuring and monitoring systems for topographic distortions. Globalgeos third edition presented the last advances in Geomatics and Geotelematics of the hand of the scientific community and the private company. One of the most exciting features was the geographical application which allows you to fly "virtually" over Barcelona in 4D in different historical eras.

Construmat

An economic impact of 330 million euros, more than a million business contacts, 286,000 trade visitors, 155,000 sq.mtrs of exhibition space, 2,508 direct exhibitors (the biggest number in the fairs history) and 50,000 products.These were the figures for the 2007 edition of Construmat, the number one trade fair in the construction industry in Spain and one of the top three in Europe. The APTM, Casa Barcelona and R4 House projects made Construmat a benchmark on housing and sustainable construction, not to mention the technical seminars and debates. In 2009, Construmat will once again be the centre of attention for everyone in the sector.

Between 29 March and 6 April 2008, Antiquaris Barcelona will once again be bringing together the finest exhibitors of antiques and modern art. The thirty-second edition of the exhibition will be held in Hall 1 at the Montjuïc exhibition centre. Quality and prestige will once again be the defining characteristics of Antiquaris Barcelona, which is now established as a benchmark in the antiques and modern art market.The previous event attracted over 23,000 professional dealers and art enthusiasts.

Barcelona Meeting Point

The 11th Barcelona Meeting Point will be held on November 6 th - 11 th, 2007 at Halls 1, 2 and 8 of Fira de Barcelona. The Professional Real Estate Exhibition will be open from Tuesday 7th through Thursday 10th and the General Attendance Exhibition from Wednesday 6th till Sunday 11th. The International Symposium will be held on from November 7 th and 8 th within the Professional Exhibition.

The Careers and Training Week Estudia event will be held from 2nd to 6th April in Palace 2 on the ground level at Montjuïc. In this 19th edition there will be a strong emphasis on Vocational Training given the high demand for this type of information. With 70,000 visitors in 2007, Estudia is the one place that brings together every section of the education system.

Expodidàctica

The educational resources of museums from all over Spain will be showcased for the first time at Expodidactica, which will take place at the Montjuic exhibition centre between 3 and 5 April 2008. Your participation will be backed up by a full programme of workshops with educational ideas. The exhibition is planning to host 215 exhibitors, almost double those of 2006. A new edition of the International Simulated Enterprises Fair will also be held, aimed at students in vocational, occupational, regulated and ongoing training in business administration (from 2 to 4 April 2008). Conferences, the Innova awards and seminars are other activities taking place at Expodidactica aimed at teachers and educators.

Nivalia

Nivalia, the winter sports and mountain activities exhibition, celebrated its twentieth anniversary with its most family-friendly and participative edition since it was created in 1987. Some 18,000 visitors came to the event which kicks off the winter sports season in Spain. The Second-hand Market proved to be the main attraction at Nivalia 2007, recording huge sales of material and equipment. Exhibitors and enthusiasts alike expressed great optimism with regard to the forthcoming winter sports season, which is heralded in by the Nivalia Ski Show.Long-range weather forecasts allow us to predict that Spanish and Catalan ski resorts will surpass the turnover of 129 million euros in 2006.

Festival de la Infància

More than 230.000 visitors have participated in the educational and entertaining music activities converting the Montjuich in one big entertainment World for children. Over 90 exhibitors - counting companies, institutions and other entities - have filled the 43.000 m2 of fairground with attractive proposals, stimulating the creativity, solidarity, the respect for the diversity and environment, the sport and Mediterranean food to the children.

Eurogames 2008 in Barcelona

Barcelona is an active and modern city, plenty of history and with a big sports tradition. Our city has a lot of public and private sportive facilities. Clubs and organizations encourage the daily practice of sports in Barcelona. At this moment, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome the XII EuroGames, the European Championship for the LGTB community, that will be held in Barcelona the next month of July. This Championship will mobilize plenty of athletes and spectators from all around Europe. Barcelona will be the European capital of sport during these days of celebration, where 28 different sportive disciplines will be practiced and where everybody will be able to enjoy a wide variety of cultural events, as well. I'm sure that the successes achieved at the last championships will be surpassed at this edition and everybody will be able to enjoy the best sport in Barcelona.
