There are three terminals; - Terminal A is for international arrivals and foreign airline departures. - Terminal B is for European Union arrivals and Spanish airline departures. - Terminal C is for Air Shuttle flights and General Aviation. More than 30 international airliners are operative in El Prat, and there are over 80 direct flights from Barcelona to world-wide destinations. It is the most comfortable way of transport, the fastest, and surprisingly affordable compared to other countries. In certain cases supplements are being charged, for example when putting luggage in the trunk, and when going to or from the port or airport.There are many pre-assigned taxi-stands in Barcelona and free taxis are easily recognizable by the lit green light on top of the taxi. Many cab drivers work hard and make long hours, so a tip of between 5-10% of the cost is usually highly appreciated. The Barcelona Aerobus runs directly from and to the Barcelona Airport from and to the City Centre every 12 minutes and takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get to your destination. Barcelona - Girona by bus Girona is about 100 km away from Barcelona. The very best way to travel from Girona airport to Barcelona is by shuttle bus. The trip will take you about 1,5 hours maimum and prices are for a single ticket € 11,00 and for a two-way ticket around € 19,00 (valid for 30 days). The bus arrives in Barcelona at station Nord close to the Arc de Triumf and from there most apartments are a nearby drive with the taxi. Barcelona train service The railway company servicing the train travel from BCN airport to the city centre is RENFE, and you should take line C-1 to stop at several points in the city. All stations are directly connected to the Barcelona Metro. In Barcelona, Sants Estació is the place to be when traveling by train. Any train passing by, and leaving from Barcelona stops here. Since it’s location is a bit too far from the city center to walk there, either take a taxi, or take the green line (3) or line blue (5) of the Metro to get there. The price of a single ticket to Barcelona city centre by train is € 2,40. From the Barcelona airport to Plaza de Catalunya trains run from 06:13 till 23:40 every 30 minutes, and from Plaza de Catalunya to Barcelona airport trains run from 05:30 till 22:11 every 30 minutes. Be sure to stay on the left hand side of the highway once it's splits in two parts. Public car parkings in Barcelona are plentyfull and will cost you about € 20,00 to € 30,00 a day. If you intend to see more then Barcelona itself we recommend you to rent a car at the many different car rental companies available in the city and at the Barcelona airport. Generally, drivers have to be 21 years or older and have to present a valid passport and drivers license. A valid international insurance policy is also necessary, but this can be purchased at a low extra cost at the time of hire.
